Trim

I have a '76 Evinrude 85 hp with a prestolite pump that went out. Only one in existence is almost $500. I need to know if anyone has any ideas on what to do. Is there a work around here or the possibility of going manual trim with the pin. I hate to get rid of the motor because it is still a great runner. open to all possibilities. Thanks Randy.

Find a Mercury outboard or Mercruiser pump assembly.----The one that mounts inside the boat.-----Redo the hoses to fit.

If going manual adjust the trim pin to neutral trim, distribute deck load evenly, prop right the motor to run towards max wot rpm range factory stated as usually loaded for the combo to jump on plane near instantly....

Just going to be 1 or 2 people in the boat. 17' Ebbtide fishing boat. All weight will be on the 2 seats when traveling. Been spoiled with t/t over the years. Will I have to do anything to the existing trim system just to use the trim pin?

As of now does the motor remains locked at any trim position ?

How would this be connected to existing lines? In and out. Electrical is not a problem for me just the hydraulics.
