Don't want to sound stupid :( , but I have a 1993 or 94 115hp Mariner and the T-n-T guage will not work, Could that be caused by the electrical hook up on the pivot of the trim and tilt?

Re: Trim & Tilt

No one want to sound stupid - that's why we post here! Turn key on and short sender wire to ground in engine cowl and dash gauge should move. If not, gauge is bad or has no 12v+ to it. If it does, sender has broken index tab where it goes into pivot shaft or sender is corroded inside or sender ground wire is not making contact. Dash gauge is just a voltmeter watching the variable resistor that is in the sender going to and away from ground.
