Sorry for yet another newbie question....<br /><br />I've got a 1988 175hp Mercury with the Type B trim/tilt setup. The wiring connecting the trim solenoids to the main harness was missing when I bought the engine and I need to replace it.<br /><br />From the wiring diagrams I've found, it looks like I should run green-white from DOWN solenoid to green-white on control box, blue-white from UP to control box blue-white, but how do I wire in the Red? looks like it comes off of the UP solenoid, but from there I am lost....<br /><br />Main harness colors: yellow/black, yellow/red, purple, gray, black, tan/blue, red, black/yellow. Alongside 8 pin in main harness: blue/white, green/white, brown/white, tan.<br /><br />Control box: blue/white, green/white, red, yellow/red, yellow/red.<br /><br />Thanks for any help.
