Yesterday on the water drifting I always lift eng most of the way out of water, and after about 3 hours, and we were ready to go...No t-n-t up or down. I tried switch on side of eng. as well. relays inside box click when switch is pushed in either direction from front or back. If relays are clicking, can they still be bad???
should I be looking else where?
Thanks...........'97 115 jonny crossflow

I thought fuses too, but my elec. diagram doesn't show a fuse unless I'm missing it in the drawing-It shows power going direct from batt side of solenoid to T-N-T box. I just pulled the 2 relays out and on the pig tails of both sides I see indications of melting plastic on 2 different post locations.

Hey walleyehed....

Just caught yer post. What you may be seeing is the sealing goo they put in the relays. Possible yer TNT motor is pulling to many amps. Look at the two wires (green and blue) going to the motor. You can direct connect these to a battery and make the tilt work. If you put the green to ground and blue to Positive, the motor should go up and vise versa. May be your commutator is dirty and brushe head needs replaced. Does yours have one or two trim cylinders?
