Trim/Tilt Johnson 200HP

Suspect Trim motor is bad. Motor is in down position. How do I get the the motor tilted up to replace????<br /><br />Thanks

There is a manual release valve in the trim system. On newer models access is on the port side, through the transom bracket - use the correct size flat-blade screwdriver and loosen the valve 2 to 3 turns. Have a helper lift from the gearcase and then snug the screw once its lifted to the desired height. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the screw.<br /><br />-John

For safety lock the engine in the trailer position, or block it up securely.
