I have just recently bought a 1985 Johnson 90hp, and am trying to connect all the wires. There is a 4 wire plug that comes out of the trim relay box that has nothing to plug into. I should add that the trim does not work. Am I missing a wire harness of some sort? I can't find anything in the manual about it.

Re: Trim tilt harness?

You should have a harness that runs from the engine to the control and trim gauge. It is called a "CABLE ASSY., Switch & gauge" part # 582678.

You can look that up yourself if you want. Just navigate to the BRP parts Manual for your motor. Copy the link to your browser without the quotation marks:

Download the manual pages to Excel and you can use it anytime or print it out.
