Trim tab notches

1992 Nissan NS90A (SN 3B7-1-15212)

I've noticed there are notches in the hole where the trim tab goes. My new trim tab does not have anything corresponding to the notches. Is this normal? Should there be something to fit into the notches?

(Yes, I know the stud is broken, there's another thread on that )

That doesn't look like a Nissan trim tab. But I might be wrong. I'll look at an OEM one tomorrow and let you know.

I was wrong. That's the right one. The notches are just angle marks to assist in setting the trim tab to different points.

Thanks again. I dug the old one out of the garbage and it looks just like the new one.
