Boating in high fouling waters from May thru October has lead me to try to find a better way to keep trim tabs less fouled or easier cleaned .Every fall properly protected tabs still have a share of barnacles, slime, worm coral etc. regardless of antifouling coating. With hopes of an easier end of season cleanup of tabs I tried coating the tabs with Plastidip prior to antifouling paint. The results were excellent. The fouling was same as always, ,however the cleanup was simple.Plastidip was easily peeled off with all of the fouling attached.I did bare metal on one tab and primed and painted on the other.Bare metal faired better peeling off in much larger pieces. Both ways were much better and easier end of season cleanup.Pressure washer blew off the remaining plastidip. I am considering this a huge success and will be coating tabs with plastidip prior to antifouling paint from now on.Waaaay less end of season cleanup. No scraping, no sanding...easy peesy.Charlie
