2013 bravo three trim sending unit not sending anything to the gauge gauge is all the way down all the time

The gauge will need current flow to raise up -- make sure you have 12 volts to the gauge and that is has a good ground also // if that's present you may have a faulty connection tot he sender or a bad sender.

Sender resistance will change with position and can be measured from inside the boat on ohms with 12 v power off -- down-resistance of 10 Ohms and an up-resistance of 167 Ohms.

As the resistance decrease current increases and the gauge needle rises when operating properly

The most common problem is frayed wires leading to the sender on the outdrive.

Starboard side is the trim sender . . . Port side is the trim limit. Best to check them both.

Pulled the sending unit cap off and was wondering if there’s a way to pull that disc off of there to clean it looks like grease underneath May not be getting a good connection
