My gauge reads half way down the the drive is in the trailer position and the trim sender is adjusted all the way to one side. Is there a way to get more adjustment out of the sender?

Remove the sender and adjust it so gauge reads down, then reinstall on gimbal and fine tune if necessary

So take it completely off the outdrive and adjust it? I’ve already rotated it as far as I can.

Yes, that is what I was thinking
If it cannot be adjusted to work smoothly, then it needs another sender or its a gauge issue

They are pretty inaccurate. When trailering, listen to the sound. You can tell when it is all the way up or all the way down. No gauge needed.

When running, trim by feel and sound of the motor. Again, no gauge needed.
