I know this may be an old post but I'm having a similar issue with my bravo 3. My resivoiur has about a 1/2 inch play from where it connects to the pump. I assume there should be no play and perhaps that's causing my issue? Thank you for any help

Ok thank you. I'll look into why there's some play. Almost seems like that res screws together to the pump or something. Any idea why I would have play. I don't loose fluid underway or in the trailer

I took the resivoiur off the pump and drained and inspected it. There were no cracks in it and both the small screw O ring and large resivoiur O ring were present and intact. I cleaned the resivoiur and replaced the fluid and attached it back to the pump. The small screw that holds the resivoiur to the pump sucked the resivoiur up to the pump but never gets tight it gets snug then just spins. Therefore I still have the initial play between my resivoiur and pump. Would this small air leak (if there is one) possible cause my outdrive to lower over night? Why would my resivoiur still have play in it? Thank you

I have a similar issue with my pump, swivels but doesn't leak. My drive doesn't leak down though. So thinking that isn't your problem. Probably a bad valve

My spare pump but it's missing the mesh filters. How do those go on and come off? Are the pressed fittings? Thanks

I had a spare pump so I swapped it out and put the resivoiur on it. For some reason there is no play in the resivoiur anymore. Hooked everything back up and trimmed it up over 4 hours ago and so far no movement. Usually drop s few inches by now so the problem was in the pump, probably a check valve stuck. I'll look into seeing if they can be rebuilt.
