I need to know what kind of oil to use in my trim pump. I have a 1993 volvo pentra. Some tell me to use 10w30, others tell me to use "trim pump and steering fluid". Thanks for your help!!!

Greg

Re: Trim pump Oil

Volvo service manual for the 290 style drives calls for ATF. Need your drive model number for postive ID.

Re: Trim pump Oil

My clymers manual tells me to use "Volvo Pentra Motor Oil". I'm not sure what kind of motor oil that we talking about though. There are so many. Any ideas? Thanks

Greg

My clymers manual tells me
I wouldn't trust the information in a Clymers manual for anything. Toooooo many mistakes to even be usable.

IF you want to know what your trim really takes, download an operators manual from Volvo.
Here is the link
http://www.volvo.com/volvopenta/global/en-gb/marineengines/operators_manual/operators_manual.htm
