Trim limit has continuity so that shouldn't be the issue.

The pump did have two solenoids at one point (it was drilled into the left side and held on with a bolt. I've tried testing both by applying power and seeing if allows the current to flow through to the other lug, no luck.

I suppose I'll pick up a new solenoid and see if that works. If not I geuss a new pump? Also applying power driectly to the motor wires does nothing. I'm thinking maybe it got fried when those wires crossed but honestly have no idea at this point.

Yeah if you still have the old switch, take it apart and you will see that is just a couple of strips of copper and a couple of sliding contacts. If the contacts are not on the copper strips the switch will not work until the outdrive(or switch) is positioned so that they do make contact. Another thing to try would be to run the outdrive up with the trailer switch to see if you can find a spot where the trim will work. If that works, then for sure all you need to do is reposition the switch. You can get an initial setting by running the outdrive all the way down, taking the switch off and turning the shaft until you have continuity. You should be able to then put it back on and fine tune it. Hoping one of the other guys can post the adjustment procedure for you. I don't have access to the manual with my iPad. Good luck!

I have a copy of the manual on my PC for the adjustment procedure.so that isn't a problem when the time comes.

As it stands right now the pump doesn't even work so I can't use the trailer button or even just jump the solenoid to move the drive. Is it possible to get these things rebuilt? A new pump is like $500+ from what I've seen and I can't really afford that now. I have my doubts about the solenoids but if I apply power directly to the motor with it grounded the pump should move, so that is probably the problem..

You only have 1 solenoid and you pic is not letting me open and edit it . See post 11 ,the item in the yellow box gets removed and the red wire is connected to the small post of the white plastic block, the same post the red wire from the battery goes to.

Update!

Took a break from everything over the last week as I was getting fairly frustrated with everything. I tested both the solenoids on the pump and neither were working. I went out and got a new one, installed it and everything works exactly as it should. The second solenoid was mounted on the left side of the pictures posted and explains how the wiring was prior (Used for the down circuit). From the start, everything would have worked if I just replaced the solenoids but this is just another lesson learned. The reason everything was shorting out was that I mounted the green wires to the screw holding down the terminal block and they were shorting out through the metal reservoir.

Thanks again for all your help, I can't thank you enough! I only have to glue the carpet down and then bolt my new seats in! Should be out on the water in the next week.
