Question-- if you are out on the water, and the trim stops working, and you can't override with a screwdriver on the solenoids, is there a way to manually get the leg down to get home? And then manually lift it to get the boat out of the water?

Thanks.

You can bypass the solenoids all together with. Disconnect all the solenoid wires, use the 10ga. 12V feeds to supply power directly to the outdrive pump, swap the polarity of the wires to reverse pumping direction. This is a "Mcguyver trick" ONLY to get you out of the water! don't get into a habit of doing this all the time, RUN YOUR BLOWER FIRST to vent fumes in case you get a spark from jumping connections !!!

Get a catch-can, remove a trim line from the pump and let it puke fluid into the container. That'd be about it.
