1995 225 venom; after instaling hydraulic steering (myself) motor will not trim up as high as before while running. Will trim all the way up at idle or on trailer but not more than halfway while running. I temporarely relocated tilt limit switch to make sure this wasn't a problem (didn't help). OMC mechanic in our fishing club said this motor won't tilt "all way up" after so many rpm's but I know it did prior to my instaling hydraulic steering. Any suggestions? :(

Re: trim problem

From the full tilt/trim down position, you have approximately 15° of trim up that will withstand the forward engine thrust. From that point upwards, the unit is in a tilt only mode..... and that mode will not withstand the engines thrust.
