Trim only going down not up

My trim will on work when going down. When I try to go up the solenoid clicks but the motor does nothing. I tried hitting the wire that goes directly to the pump with power and still nothing. Is it possible for the pump to work in only one direction?

1988 OMC 5.0L with Cobra drive

If you jumper-ed across the two large terminals on the down solenoid (Green or Green white wire to pump) and the pump didn't run, the from the pump, trace the wires up to the connector where the harness from the motor connects to the trim harness from the solenoids and see if the connection is corroded or loose.

Jumped it at the solenoid and then jumped it at the connection going to the pump. There was some corrosion on the connections that I will clean up and try again, but I'm confident I had a good connection.

The same motor is used, it just reverses. Since it's a 3 wire motor, it's possible the internal wiring is bad.

that makes sense, thanks. Is it possible to rebuild these bumps? Like do they make a brush kit. Or are they just fully sealed from the factory?

Not sure what I was thinking, the blue wires are for up, not green.

That is correct.
Black = Ground
Blue = Up
Green = Down
