Trim not working on 1973 mercruiser

I have a 1973 140 I/o mercruiser with the 4 button set up for the tilt trim only the in works and the out up and down do not work if I give direct power from battery each wire I can make each function work how do I fix this

most likely the solenoid is not working for the "up" circuit

There is only one selonide does any one know where I can find the diagram for 1973 mercruiser trim

If there is only one solenoid it's gotta be the switch or the limit sensor...

Try isolating each system.
