Trim not working either direction

I recently purchased a 2008 Stingray with a 4.3 Volvo Penta GXI and SX-A motor. It has two trim switches. One is on the controller and one on the stern of the boat. They were both working fine until yesterday. While on the lake, it was very choppy, I noticed all of a sudden my trim was not working. When I got it back on the trailer I checked the 40A fuse but it didn’t help. I had my son push the up and down on the trim and nothing happened. There was no clicking sound. I switched the relays and still nothing. Being there is no clicking does it sound like a relay issue or some other issue? I did order new relays, I just thought it would be odd for both to go bad at the same time.

Thanks in advance for your help. Electrical is definitely my weak point!

Welcome to iboats! I would get a meter and start by checking all the ground points starting with the battery. I "sudden" loss of Tilt and trim is normally a wiring connection. You are about to sharpen your weak point ;)

I'd agree with Bob. If it was really choppy and then you lost trim function, seems like something may have bounced loose. Check grounds and wiring. Make sure everything is still snug and tight....
