I got such good advice on my first post I thought I would try another question.

Working around the boat yesterday I checked the oil in the trim motor. It was full but it looked white. Trim works fine, sounds a little funny to me but I was wondering, should I change the trim motor oil and if so what's the best way to do it.

Re: trim motor

If it's white, that indicates water in the oil. Possibley a leak on your trim cylinders.
I have also seen the trim pump get water in through the vent hole in the cap on the reservoir if the pump is installed where it can get rained on or water on it.

To find out how to do it, go to the Adults Only section of the forum and download your manual.

Re: trim motor

I have/had water in my trim fluid as well. At least you were lucky enough to see it now. Only way I knew there was water in my system was when the outside temps dropped and the water in the lines froze and split one of my trim cylinders open. DOH!
