Comment/Question:<br />Hi my 85 mercury power trim we got it working but it is very slow we cleaned<br />the brushes there seemed to be a flat spot i think we are not bleeding it<br />the right way i have put 2 bottles of fluid and it started moving slow and<br />not all the way up do you think there is air in there? please help

Are you sure the battery is fully charged? Mine tends to act like that when the battery is low. just a thought.

If I understand you right your MErc is a 1985 or 85 hp? If it is a 1985 I think they have a two stage trim, from fully down the trim portion does move the motor slowly then the tilt portion kicks in and the speed picks up a bunch.<br /><br />I sure hope this helps you in some way.<br /><br />Craig

hey thanks fro the reply it is a 1985 70hp i think your right about the 2 stage trim from all the way down it goes up really slow and makes some weing sound and will not it will go 2 the second stage a little then stops and it goes down slow really slow any ideas
