Question: I Just had these replaced on my Alpha I
What exactly are they supposed to do?
I know one side tells the Trim Gauge where the Drive is at. What is the limit switch supposed to do? I assume limit the drive movement... Why would you want this? What problems can arise if its not limited?? I noticed that now when I use it it will not go up all the way unless I use the trailer switch.... Is this supposed to be like that??

Thanks

Tallman

Yes...it's normal to have to use the trailer switch to lift it all the way, while you are running there is more stress on the u-joints as you lift the drive, the limit switch is to prevent you from going beyond a safe range and possibly damaging your drive
