Got a 1986 mercury 90 inline 6, picked it up from my uncle a few weeks ago after some minor repairs we took it out for a test run but as I lifted my trim the center cylinder started leaking oil from the top. I assume the seal is blown since it hasn't been ran in7 years, now my question is can this cylinder be rebuilt or do I need a new one and where can I find one for such an old motor?

Yes you can buy cylinder repair kits. 41478a 1 I did a quick look without the serial number to see. Maybe grab the serial number to confirm.

I'm not sure if the link will work for you. If not..

1. Go to Mercurymarine.com
2. click on parts and accesories tab
3. click on launch parts catalog
4. enter serial number in serial number search a 1986 should pop up
5. if for some reason it doesn't just click outboard, then 2 stroke carb, and scroll down till you see your serial range.
