trim level for storage

stupid question. putting my rig up for winter. 30 hp efi tohatsu.what angle should i leave the motor at for the winter/ im in GA and run the motor about every 2 weeks thru the middle of february. we do get some freezing but not foe=r any long periods. right now she is staight up and down.i have non ethanol treated with stabil and seafoam in the tank. thanks

you put it down so the water can drain

If it hasn't been mentioned, down. All the way.

That stops water from pooling in the open area of the lower unit behind the prop and breaking the housing when it freezes. When we get a cold snap in Georgia, it will freeze if water collects.

It's also a good idea to change the lube in the lower unit in case any seals are bad and water has gotten inside, which can also bust it.

If OB will sit on transom or on OB stand, trim it to sit fully vertical (90deg) on both cases.

Yes - The pocket behind the prop will be drained of all the water.
