Trim Leak and Frozen Cap

Continuation of the trim leak on a 2001 150 h.p Johnson.The trim cap is apparently frozen, I put alot of pressure on the cap and it didnt budge.My question is aside from liquid wrench is the use of heat a viable option.Any tricks of the trade are welcome ,Im afraid of breaking the nipples on the rented cap remover.Also I was told the trim rod comes off with the cap.Is this a tricky issue?Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. To be sure here, are we talking about the TRIM cap or TILT cap ??

It is the power trim cap,I tried using the tool with the four prongs designed for removing the cap but it would not budge.
