Alright guys I recieved zero replies from my last post. Maybe someone can help me with this one. The problem I'm having is when I go down with the tilt the motor starts bouncing. When I tilt up it's nice and smooth. I made sure it was full of fluid. I have lifted motor all the way up with the button and lowered it manually several times and it helped somewhat but still very rough. What should I try now? Has anyone ever had this problem? Thanks!

the motor is a 96' 225 vindicator. model #e225stlede. i have run it up and down i know 100 times. i just got this boat from the lake sam rayburn area. i don't believe it's ever seen saltwater. has original trailer from allison under it with very little rust. i had an old 140 'rude that done this before (not near this bad) and kept cycling it up and down and it went away.

The system is self bleeding, so in essence what you are doing by cycling the motor is removing the air. If the manifold will not self bleed, you either have a pump malfunction or a clogged pump filter. This is located beneath the trim motor. Let me know what you find.

The usual process to eliminate air is to open the fill plug while locked in the up position, fill the unit, then close and cycle several times, then repeat until the unit functions properly.

One place where air can enter is on corroded rams. Another is worn o-rings. Like any lubricant, the fluid can wear out, so occasional topping up is a good idea anyway.

Alright guys I have a full charge on battery and still the same thing. It only does it on the single ram. When you bring it all the way down to the other 2 rams it smooths out. Didnt have time too check filter assy. Hopefully time will permit tomorrow.

Re: trim jumps while going down

Alright guys. Got off work this evening and pulled the trim motor. Filter was fine. Everything clean. Went ahead and dropped the motor down and drained all the fluid out I could. I run trim motor and spins fine. Went ahead and put another trim motor on it just to eliminate that problem. Filled with new ATF fluid and have the exact same problem. Cycled it up and down many times and zero change! What now? Think I should pull it off and tear it down to try and find something visually?
