My buddy has a 91 Seaswirl with an OMC Cobra 4.3 liter engine. I guess he parked it a month ago, and didn't put in the spacers on the hydraulic shocks that operate the trim. After a week or so the prop slowley foated all the way down, and when he tried the electronic 'thumb' switch on the accelerator, I guess it worked intermitently for a few seconds and now it doesn't work up/down at all.
Hydraulic fluid is full, we cut the wires right by the switch thinking it was the switch but that wasn't it.
Any clues on what it might be? Should the prop have floated down if the spacers were left out? Should we be able to jack up the prop to put the spacers in?
Any help appreciated!
Jeff
