trim guage not showing anything

i have a 1981 astroglass bass boat they put a 1985 150 mercury engine not oil injected none of the gauges work except for rpm i figured out how to fix speed gauge but now im trying to figure out why my trim gauge is not showing anything any help will be greatly appreciated

There should be a brown/white wire from a sensor on the clamp, comes up into the cowl and bullet-connects into the cable on the boat side of the cannon connector.

Lotsa places to get wacked.

In that case, take it to a mechanic. Yer in over yer head.

okay so i figured out my problem with the trim it not the gauge it the wires that go from the motor into the gauge:confused and right as they go into the boats from the motor they start dry rotting and you keep following them and there so dry rotted that there broke all to pieces even disconneted due to dryrotting so my next question is would it be possible to rewire this 4 wire system by myself
