Trim Gauge

Hello everyone just brought this boat and the Trim gauge works but when I put the trim all the way down and start driving the needle goes all the way up but when I'am going I start to put the trim up the needle goes back and shows the trim going up? It is a 2006 Larson senza with a 5.0 volvo penta? Any suggestions?

The sending units are notorious for going bad.
You can do a search on here about trim or sending units or tilt and find a ton of posts on it.
They go for about $100 to 140 to replace.

It sounds like a bad sender, you can test it and try readjusting it to see if it just not installed and adjusted properly.
