Help, my trim gauge is not working, the needle stay all the way up doesn't matter where the motor is. The gauge does light up and barely move from the up position when I trim the motor up and down. Have look underneath the dash and found no bad wiring, loose connection, etc. Is there an adjustment screw or something on the trim assembly that need adjustment? could something be stuck? the gauge needle stuck? It is a 97 force 120 on a nitro boat, the gauge was working all the way up until the last day I used the boat last season. I appreciate the help.

Re: Trim gauge

Your problem is probaly at the engine, sender, shorted wire. Usally a full scale reading indicates a short of so kind

laddiesservice> thanks! took the sender out and notice on the top side of it there is a tiny hole which water dripped out of it. I've never pay much attention to that thing so don't know if that hole suppose to be there or not. Do you know if the sender can be taken apart? It doesn't seem it can be done to me.

Re: Trim gauge

well test the sending unit and it's shock, open it up and it's extremely simple. I can't believe it cost $36 bucks for a two bucks potentiometer.
