I installed a trim gauge on my 1990 Ranger 375V - and it worked okay. However, at times I sensed a variation/slight fluctuation between my tach and adjusting the trim on my controller handle. I wired my console gauges all sharing the purple ignition power wire and ground from the wiring harness from the remote controller. Recently, I lost my Tach signal from a blown tach circuit in the cdi voltage regulator/rectifier. Also have a trim/tilt switch in the bow console. Thinking about isolating the trim gauge by providing power from my auxillary 12v from the battery so that my trim/tilt position is always available even with my ignition key off. Anyone ever considered this wiring for their gauge. All ideas/suggestions please.
