When I Trim Up As Far As I Can On My 2005 192 With 190hp Volvo, The Needle Is Only 3/4 Way To The Top Of The Trim Gauge. When I Trim All The Way Down, The Needle Is At The Bottom Of The Trim Gauge. Does Anyone Know If There Is Some Override Switch That Will Allow The Motor To Tilt Up Farther For Trailering? Or Am I At The Limit For Trimming Up The Volvo 190hp.

Also, In Hopes That It May Be Of Benefit To Someone. I Was Porpoising Pretty Badly So I Put On A Se 300 Hydrofoil. Reduced The Porpoising, Allowed Me To Trim Up More At Lower Speeds, Slightly Faster Plane Now At 2750 Vs. 2900, A Bit Better Gas Mileage, Better Grip In Truns. The Real Surprise To Me Was That My Light Load Top Gps Speed Went From Just Over 46 To 47.5 (i Had Expected The Drag From The Foil To Reduce The Top End).

I Notice A Little List To The Left When Loaded Heavy And/or Cruising Under 30, But Effect Seems Less Noticable When Lighty Loaded Or Traveling Faster Than 30.

I Would Expect That Trim Tabs Would Provide More Of A Positive Effect (especially On A Larger Boat, Or For Ocean Boating). But, For A Quick, Easy An Inexpensive Improvement, I'd Recommend The Se 300 For $59.
