Trim Gauge Adjustment

New to the forum and the boating world. I have a 76 Caravelle Tri-Hull with a 165 Mercuiser and Pre-Alpha outdrive. I'm tring to fix my trim gauge, were can I find the sending unit? It' not on the outside of the gimbal housing.

It's inside the boat. Here is from the service manual. You can also download service manual #2 from the stickies at the top of the forum
