I am new to this forum. I have this problem with a mercury trim gage on my 115 hp motor. This is not the most pressing problem you are likely to encounter, but it "bugs" me.
The trim gage works fine, except that it does not read in a usable range. The gage reads all the way to the lowered position until it is trimmed almost out of the water. I have adjusted the sending unit as far as it will travel in the right direction, I have rotated it 180 deg.. Nothing works. It seems as though I need to rotate another 10 to 15 deg. past the maximum. Is there some adjustment I am missing? Is there some alteration I can make to get the gage in range.
