Trim Fluid ?

I have a 1987 Sea Ray with a 4.3 OMC. I have a small leak with my trim that ends up in my bilge. I was told that I could use power steering fluid. The OMC manual says OMC trim fluid or dextron ll. My question what should I use. Could power steering fluid be thinner and causing a leak or I have other problems.
Thanks

ATF and PFS are hydraulic oils with different additive packages.

One may be better for your particular application (seal compatibility) than the other , but a leak is a leak no matter the fluid vescosity.

Most likely a leaking trim hose.

Find the leak

You can even run motor oil
