Took EZ Duz It out for her first trip this year on opening day fishing. Got her in the water and she fired right up. We got away from the dock and idled out into the lake. Just beyond the launch area I came across a sudden and VERY shallow rocky structure. I went to neutral and raised my outdrive up, or so I thought. My outdrive failed to go up and I struck the rocks beating the hell out of my brand new $140 prop. By the time I realized my outdrive wasn't coming up and went for reverse but it was too late. I tried raising the outdrive again to no avail. I ended up having to hang off the back of the boat with my buddy holding my feet so I wouldn't go in. Thankfully I have really long arms, being 6'7", and had a cresent wrench and pair of channel locks, as well as a ratchet strap. I got the hydraulic rams off without dropping anything, which is surprising because I couldn't feel my fingers as they had gone numb. The issue is my trim will go down but not up. I've chased power all the way from the control switch back to the solenoid. That's where everything goes to crap. I tried jumping the solenoid and again down but no up. No click, nothing. I have a 1976 gen 1 Mercruiser 165 4.1L. Only one solenoid for up and down. Old stuff. I'm pretty darn sure it's the solenoid but wanna make sure I'm not missing anything. Please advise. Thanks y'all!!

You're pressing both UP and UP/OUT? (Or you have the trim limit switch shorted out so UP/OUT works on its own)... Or your reverse interlock switch has failed, or is out of adjustment.

Nope. One solenoid for UP. DOWN is direct, no solenoid (see above diagram).

Chris.....
I went to the pump and jumped out down and up. Same result. It won't go up. Solenoid doesn't even click. That's what leading me to the solenoid.

What are you jumping exactly? red to small blue activates solenoid. Red to fat blue bypasses the solenoid. If you jump red to fat blue and it doesn't work, the solenoid isn't the issue.
