I have a 1983 Mercury 150hp with the old style single ram Trim and external pump. I installed a newer pump assembly recently (reservoir type) and it works great, except when under power. I have it trimmed down to get on plane and once on plane i can't trim up. Works fine when idling in gear or when sitting still. Anybody think it's possible the newer pump don't have the power to do the job? Thanks in advance for your knowledge and opinions.
