Trim cylinder swap

Does anyone know if the trim cylinders from a 79 merc (I or MR)
can be installed on a 84 Alpha?

The 79's are a little different, they are a smaller diameter but otherwise appear to compatable.

I think they are different....
At some point in that time Merc went from dual hoses to single hoses......​

Both of these have dual hoses.

You'll be installing 1" rams where 1, 1/4" rams were,......

It Will Work...........

But,.......
The Trim Lines outside the Boat will Also have to be Swapped, as they're Different........
