trim buttom working sometimes

I have a 95 force 120 controller is a quicksilver 3000. Trim button on the handle started not working sometimes. Button on motor no problem. Connections seem ok. Aside from changing controlls is there anything anyone would suggest to check.

You can order a new trim switch from any Merc dealer. You don't need to replace the whole control.
