At some point in my boats former life someone bypassed the trim sender and limit switches. I've replaced them and want to hook them up, but there are no bullet connectors anywhere. Anyone know where I need to splice in at?

The problem is the wires for the trim sensors go through the outdrive housing into the engine compartment and I thought the outdrive has to be off to install, or not?

It does indeed. Very hard to get to. You MUST remove the bellhousing. I had it off to change bellows.

Re: Trim and Limit sender wiring

actually...i got a cobia i/o with a chevy v8 305 and alpha1 outdrive and i replaced the trim and limit switches without removing the drive / bellows....there's a post on here about it where the guys rec'd's getting an extension from lowes, get that and follow his instructions...its tough but not bad at all, should take about 3 hours or so, however when you put it back together go to sears and get the 5/16 socket wobble thing which is a 5/16 with a built in wobble for about $5 to put it back together, you'll need about 2 solid ratchet extensions and a couple of hours but it all worked out great for me....any questions, email me @ vicki@southfloridarealty.cc wifes email address.
