The ignition worked after I purchase and install a new trigger in the distributor.
Because I have a carburetor flooding problem. I replaced the float system.
But when I hook them up, the flooding problem is gone. But there is no ignition for all sparks.
I checked the switch & coil with the jumper&touch the ground method. And the switch&coil work well.
Then I check the continuity and ohm between the black, white, brown&ground of the trigger, it reads all the same as before.
I connected the trigger but only left the main coil wire open to see the arc.
It didn't work first. But when I tap the distributor housing, the metal one not the cap house, and it works again. There is arc from the main coil.
I hook it up, being afraid that the trigger could have a connection problem inside. And yes, it didn't work again.
So, I opened it up and tried the same way. But it won't work any more, no matter how I tapped the out metal housing of the distributor.
Is that the trigger problem? or there could be also other things to check?
thanks.
