HI folks. I'm new here so please bear with me if I screw up.
I just aquired a fibreglass Traveller Neptune. It is licenced as as a 5.94 meter (19.5 feet) has a closed deck, the hull is in wonderful condition inside and out, the upholstery is shot but it is a perfect boat for my wife and I. It is wide, deep and has tons of room. It will seat 9 for sure without any side jump seats.
The problem I have is I don't know the age of the boat. I have identified the engine as a 1973 chevy 307 and it has a two barrel carb. The manifolds (according to my parts guy) are from a 225 HP but if it were a 225 it should have a 4 barrel carb.
The "gentleman" I bought it from (for a song I must add) stated it was a 1974 or 1975.
Does anybody out there have any information on this model?

Re: Traveller Neptune

if it's a '73 or newer and a boat made in USA, it should have a hull identification number on it. location is usually on the transom, starboard side. location does vary though. my '75 has the hin molded into the glass dead center, right above the drive.

the first three letters of the hin indicate mfg.
the last 2 numbers indicate year of mfg.

'72 and older, no hin was required making id much harder..
