Transom shower plumbing question

I want to install a washdown shower off my engine and am having a hard time figuring out the best way to plumb it in.

Years ago, our boat had a hand held hot shower head plumbed off the engine. It was fantasic for quick rinses or to preheat your wetsuit on those cold lakes.

I want to install one on my Merc 3.0. Any ideas?

It is very hard to get warm water out of a Raw water cooled motor like the 3.0 only a littel bit of warm water comes out of the block

The rest just pumps right out the exaust manifold



On motors with fresh water cooling they would plumb the heat exchanger through a hot water heater

The fresh water cooled motor runs at about 180 DEG which is plenty of heat to run the water heater
