Some advice RE transom saver
Recent purchase - 22 ft Grady - seaferer
Engine - Yamaha OX66
2 stroke
250 Hp

Previous owner used boat seldom and never more then a mile too boat ramp , He used the swing bracket Yamaha installed
I see damage happening , not recommended too travel long distances using that swing bracket too support engine , Use the ones that go over rams ,
I like the transom saver that goes from boats beam supporting engine , All weight is now on beam
Problem I have there is no cross member in back of trailer , Axle is quite far up
Would have too add a cross member at back of trailer
Only options for now is
The tubes that go over rams
Heard you can use a 2/4 ?
If so where does that go ?? on ram then lower engine ?
Others DIY their own using a pipe ?
On the 250 , one or two savers

thanks

Do a search here on transom savers. There have been several posts about them and how some guys made custom ones to fit their trailer.
