I am a newbie Transom Saver user as I'll be taking a long trip and figured I'd better get one. My TS didn't come with pics or installation instructions, so I winged it. I'd love to see some pics of it done right so I know I'm ok. Thanks!

I don't see how you one could get it wrong.
I have a realy nice one, has a bracket incorporated into the trailer roller that has a universal joint so the post can swing down and over to attach with bungee out of the way, no way to loose this one it's attached.

Thanks, but that doesn't really help, and now I fell dumb to boot. The reason I think I got it wrong is that it was a REALLY tight fit on the lowest adjustment. Also, the bungee is a VERY tight fit to get both hooks on. Other than what I've done, I don't see another way of doing it. So pics are what are going to help me. :-(

A picture of your set would be helfull, You may have to trim it a little, is your cradle above or below the cavitation plate, thats all I can think of.

Thanks, thats' definately more helpful. And it does look like I got it right. I am just so suprised how tight it was in every aspect. I took the thing for a 15 mile ride and it actually slipped out a bit, but I think it's my fault because I didn't use the "adjustment lock" piece because it was the whole way down. It must have bounced a bit. It didn't hold the steering straight either, again probably because of that piece.

Yes I had that problem too, sometimes my motor would lay down on the bumpy roads, not a big problem though, I just layed it down to starboard right off, then I found a little knob below my steering wheel that tightened up the steering, just a couple turns of the knob did it and now she'll ride straight up no matter how bumpy the roads are, better for boat handleing too.
