The motor support bracket fell/broke off and my 125 force will not stay up when I trim so what is out there that i can use while trailering? The escort dosent have any holes in the frame to attach a aftermarket transom saver. (First boat, First official post)

Re: Transom Saver for 89 Escort Trailer

Welcome to iboats!

The part is available but pricey:
#2 is the trailering bracket

Strangely, I needed one for my motor (it uses the same one) and I was able to buy one, brand new, for about $18. I can't figure out which online vendor had it for this price. It looks a bit different from the OE, but fits perfectly. I'll keep trying to find it and post a link if I do.

Edit: I found an old post where I linked to the item. Unfortunately, it now points to a $93 OE part. Sorry!

If you are willing to wait, you can find them from time to time on Ebay... just do a general search for Force Outboard. But be warned, they are still pretty pricey even there -- you'll be lucky to save $20 off the OE price.

Thanks ah million I'll either wait for a lucky ebay break or take a 4hr drive up north to a boat junk yard and pick one up from there for about 40buccs. maybe ill find some more parts I need.
