Transom plate leaks

How can you verify that the transom plate bolts are leaking? Can you actually see water leaking? I’m told this is the source of my bilge leak.

Could be a rotted transom, you could try using a bore scope camera to pin point the leak

Or if there's room, just take a video of the transom area with your phone while the boat is in the water.

What transom bolts are you discussing? The lower transom bolts holding the outboard to the transom? They should be caulked and then installed to stop the leaks.

Ayuh,....... Welcome Aboard,....... If it's an I/O, you've got a rotten transom,......
