Got a 20 ft pontoon that I replaced the decking and carpet on this winter to use as a dock on our 4.5 acre pit. Removed the console, steering mechanism & controls that went to the old motor and have not replaced them. It looks so nice I hate to just dock it but the 40HP motor is way too big and in need of some repair so am thinking of putting a transit mount remote trolling motor on it. It has a bow mount trolling motor that came with it as well but it is older and mounts right where the ladder mounts to get in and out of the pontoon and appears to be right in the way. It would have to be a remote as well because the way this is made there is not much room to get to a tiller handle to steer it. Curious as to thoughts.
