Just purchased a minnkota maxxum transom mount trolling motor and I'm having trouble keeping the mounting hardware tight. The transom on my Century CC 20' has a slight angle on it as the transom rises from the deck area. So, when you tighten the wing nuts to the transom it holds ok until you move the motor around a little - then the mounts ever so slowly start moving towards the top of the transom and loosens as they go.
Anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Rubber alone on the wing nut bolts isn't going to work - tried that.
