So I am trying to figure out how in the world to mount an auxiliary motor to my Transom and I could use some advice.....am I limited to a swim deck mount (http://www.wholesalemarine.com/pc/GAR-71078/120000/Auxillary+Motor+Mount/Platform+Mount+Auxiliary+Motor+Bracket.html), I would like something more along these lines (http://www.wholesalemarine.com/pc/GAR-71090/120000/Auxillary+Motor+Mount/4+Stroke+Outboard+Motor+Bracket+7-30+HP%2C+9%22+Travel.html), or am I looking at having a custom mount made?

Here is my boat 89 Four Winn 17 Freedom 2.3L OMC. I don't have access to through bolt anything so I am stumped.

Re: Transom mount for my Boat Kicker

You may have a hard time getting a kicker bracket for that style boat. It would appear that it would have to mounted on swim platform, but you need to check measurements. Take a measurement from top swim platform to hull bottom in area bracket will be mounted. Next you need to determine if you can raise and lower kicker into proper location in water while you are in the boat.
Maybe a sliding up and down jackplate will suit your needs better. JMO, Mike.

I would look at an adventure marine bracket, model 10000. My striper has a low transom much like yours, and it was the only one that would work, without having one custom built. Depending on what size of motor you are going to install, you might want to add the backing plate as well.

Just my opinion
