Anyone have any idea where to find or what company made the transom corner cap for a 1988 V-180? This is the cast aluminum piece that sits on top and ties the transon to the side ( gunnel ). The one on the starboard side of my boat got knocked off.
thanks.

not trying to hijack you post but am in the same boat with my islander.
"the no pun intended thing"
wasn't to worried about it as had planned on shaping two pieces of aluminum then have then tigged.
then smooth and polish so it looks like it always was one piece.
well hope someone has what we need, good luck.

any chance you can post a pic of the one you still have? maybe something else is a close fit and might work if you can't find an original.

Fabricating one or modifing one from a salvage boat are my next options. Other model Starcraft and Lund have similiar corner caps. I have e-mailed Starcraft but had yet to get a reply. My hope was to find the company that makes these parts for the boat manufacturers.
